5 Must-Haves For Your Website’s Homepage

• Your Brand: The MOST important thing about your homepage is that it should reflect your brand! If you are your brand, then your face should be alllll over that page. If you brand is more about your portfolio, there should be a bajillion pictures of that (okay, please refrain from the bajillion pictures thing, but a website designer can help you narrow down to the exact number you will need). Your logo, color palette, type suite, and imagery should be all over that homepage so that there is no mistaking that it belongs to you.

• Readability: Yes, this refers to your copy, but also the intentional design of your website. Your homepage should be clean and easy to read. • Photos: I referred to this a little bit earlier, but photos are a must. Although some people are more visual learners than others, we all love to take in content visually (how do we think Instagram has gotten so huge??) Well-placed photos on your homepage help build a connection with potential clients and create a sense of mastery for your business.
• Personality-Packed Copy: The words on your homepage should tie so closely in with your brand that your reader has no idea they are any different.
